Stand Behind the Next Generation of Thinkers and Leaders
Young people today are surrounded by information, social media, competing opinions and increasingly difficult choices.
C-Think exists to help them think.
C-Think is a growing critical-thinking, youth-development and community-impact movement using competitive debates, national media, schools and community partnerships to help young people question, research, reason, communicate and lead.
In Jamaica alone, 40 schools—20 high schools and 20 primary schools—compete in C-Think’s Youth and Junior Debate Leagues.
And the debates don’t end when students leave the podium.
C-Think Weekly
The work of our young thinkers reaches a national audience through C-Think Weekly, Jamaica’s national critical-thinking television programme.
C-Think Weekly returns this September, airing every Saturday at 6:30 p.m., with a repeat broadcast on Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m.
The programme gives young people something increasingly important: a public platform on which ideas, reasoning and the ability to defend an argument matter.
C-Think Jamaica is convened and adjudicated by The Mico University College, bringing academic and educational leadership to the competition.
More Than a Debate Competition
C-Think is being built as an ecosystem around young people and their communities.
Alongside the Youth and Junior Debate Leagues are:
Community Impact Projects — moving from discussing problems to doing something about them.
The C-Think Community Impact Network — bringing businesses and community partners together to support C-Think while strengthening community-level action.
The C-Think Faith League — extending critical-thinking competition and engagement into faith communities.
The C-Think I-Teach Awards — recognising educators and others making an impact through teaching.
National Debate Championships and Student Leadership Features — celebrating achievement, leadership and the voices of young people.
Our ambition is simple but significant:
Critical thinking should not belong only in the classroom. It should become part of how our young people live, communicate, make decisions and contribute to society.
We Need Patrons Behind Them

Building that kind of movement requires people who believe in it.
We are therefore inviting individuals in Jamaica, across the Caribbean and throughout the diaspora to become C-Think Patrons.
Patronage begins at a minimum of US$100 annually.
Your contribution helps sustain C-Think’s debate leagues, Speakers’ Days, youth-development activities, media programming and community-impact work.
But being a Patron means more than making a donation.
It means putting your name behind the idea that young people who learn to think critically today can become better leaders, professionals, parents and citizens tomorrow.
With permission, Patrons may be recognised through C-Think’s digital platforms and Patron communications and may receive invitations to selected C-Think activities.
Building Sustainable Community Impact
C-Think is also expanding its Community Impact Network, connecting businesses, schools, churches, families and communities.
The Network is intended to help provide the stable, day-to-day support required to sustain C-Think while enabling the programme to carry out meaningful community-impact projects on the ground.
Participating businesses become official C-Think Community Impact Network locations, helping build a visible national network of businesses that support young people, critical thinking and their communities.
This means C-Think is not asking Patrons to carry the programme alone. Patronage becomes one part of a wider model designed to make the movement sustainable.
The Competition Is Already Underway
As C-Think prepares for the new season, St. Catherine High School leads the Youth League, followed by Morant Bay High School and St. George’s College.
In the Junior League, Holland Primary School leads, followed by St. Andrew Primary School and Old Harbour Primary School.
Behind those standings are young Jamaicans learning to research, challenge ideas, listen, respond and think for themselves.
They deserve people standing behind them.
