J$50,000 in Books and School Supplies Helped Make the Inaugural Project a Success
“Sometimes one partner stepping forward at the right moment can make all the difference.”
The C-Think Community Impact Network is expressing its sincere gratitude to Kingston Bookshop for a contribution that helped make its inaugural Community Impact Project a success.
Kingston Bookshop donated approximately J$50,000 worth of books and back-to-school supplies for the Network’s Back-to-School One-Day Camp, providing valuable resources for the children who participated.
Kingston Bookshop Answered the Call
The support was particularly meaningful because it came when it was needed most.
C-Think had made a number of last-minute approaches seeking assistance for the project. Despite those efforts, Kingston Bookshop was the only donor that came on board, ensuring that the children could receive meaningful books and school supplies.
We are especially grateful to the Hon. Steadman Fuller, CD, JP, the Chairman and Managing Director of Kingston Bookshop of and Custos of Kingston, whose personal intervention helped ensure the event would not fall short of what had been promised to participating children and families.
“Kingston Bookshop did not simply make a donation. At a critical moment, Mr. Fuller ensured that we could deliver. We will remember that.” – Dr. Claudette Morris, C-Think Global Commissioner
Supporting Those Who Support Our Communities
The gesture represents exactly the type of relationship the C-Think Community Impact Network is seeking to build between businesses and the communities around them.
Kingston Bookshop has long been associated with books and education. Its support for this project translated those values into direct assistance for young people.
We therefore encourage our schools, teachers, parents, students, partners and supporters to support Kingston Bookshop and other businesses that demonstrate a willingness to invest in our communities.
Support the businesses that support our communities.
An Invitation to C-Think Speakers’ Day
As a token of our appreciation, C-Think is offering Mr. Fuller and Kingston Bookshop a complimentary Speakers’ Day package for our inaugural C-Think Speakers’ Day in September.
The package will provide an opportunity to promote Kingston Bookshop and the values behind the company, while connecting its story with a wider conversation about education, enterprise, leadership and community impact.
We would be honoured to have Mr. Fuller or a representative of Kingston Bookshop attend the inaugural event and be recognised among the partners helping C-Think build this growing movement.
Thank You, Kingston Bookshop
To Mr. Fuller and the entire Kingston Bookshop team: thank you for answering the call when it mattered.
Thank you for investing in our children, and thank you for helping the first C-Think Community Impact Network project become a success.
ONE PARTNER CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
Together, we can build stronger communities.
