A New Team Embraces the National Stage

Every strong movement needs schools that are willing to step forward, try something new, and help build something bigger than themselves. For Elletson Primary & Infant School, the 2026 CThink Jamaica Junior Debates marks an important new beginning.

This is Elletson’s first time participating in CThink, and already the school has shown that it is ready to be more than just a competitor. From taking part in its opening debate against Franklin Town Primary to hosting a CThink Speakers’ Day, Elletson has quickly demonstrated commitment, energy, and belief in the power of critical thinking.

“Every great journey begins with the courage to take the first step.”

Building More Than a Debate Team

For Elletson Primary & Infant, joining CThink is about more than preparing students for matches. It is about helping young learners develop confidence, teamwork, research skills, discipline, and the ability to express ideas clearly and respectfully.

Through debate, students learn to listen carefully, think deeply, respond thoughtfully, and stand proudly before an audience. These are lessons that will serve them far beyond the competition.

A School Ready to Support the Movement

One of the most encouraging signs has been the leadership shown by the school’s principal and team. Their willingness to support the league, host activities, and help build the CThink movement reflects the kind of partnership that makes national education programmes successful.

Elletson’s early involvement shows that new teams can make an immediate impact—not only by competing, but by helping to create opportunities for other students and schools.

“CThink grows when schools do more than participate—they help lead.”

Support Elletson’s CThink Journey

Parents, teachers, alumni, friends, and community supporters are encouraged to stand behind Elletson Primary & Infant School throughout the season.

By subscribing, watching debates, sharing content, and participating in public scoring, supporters can help strengthen the team’s presence while contributing to a national movement focused on developing Jamaica’s next generation of thinkers and leaders.

Elletson Primary & Infant has taken its first step into CThink with purpose and promise. Now, the journey continues.

Developing Thinkers. Building Leaders. Transforming Communities.
